Rekindle the Flame

Wishing to rekindle the flame of a lost light in the heart

Where time was of no end, and mysteries were a pleasure

Adventure was a friend, and the days were as long as ever

When the knowledge of quick sand, was as nonexistent

Where money and happiness, weren’t coexistent

As ignorance was bliss, and only cooties could be carried in a kiss

I find pleasure in remembering all of this…

Wishing to rekindle the flame of a lost light in the heart

Where morning sickness, is not due to being with child

But being without child…I mean, being without the child within you

That had no fears of the past, only questions to ask

And friendships to make last

Yes, I do quite recall my past

In fact I drag it around every where I step foot

But they don’t see it like I do

My imaginary companion

Stuck to me like glue, on a piece of worn out paper

Without it, I rip apart

With no home for my heart, I rely on my companion

For my past is my art…
